New Zealand 43-17 France.

Photo highlights from the second test between New Zealand and France which was played at the Sky Stadium on a damp night in the capital.

After a closer than expected first test in Dunedin last weekend, France were completely outclassed in the capital as the All Blacks put on a clinical and relentless display to secure a 43-17 victory. The All Blacks also secured their most emphatic victory against France since winning 49-14 in Dunedin in 2018.

The All Blacks came flying out of the the blocks to secure an early 22-3 lead after Cam Roigard, stand-in skipper Ardie Savea and Codie Taylor all finished off tries before Tupou Vaa’i raced away to produce a rampaging run to score under the posts before Crusaders player Will Jordan hit back shortly after to restore the All Blacks’ four-try lead which his 41st try in 43 tests appearances.

Rieko Ioane the produced arguably the try of the game athletically diving over in the left corner before celebrating in front of an ecstatic home crowd his first since returning to the wing. France showed brief moments of quality scoring tries through Léo Barré who ran through to score France’s first try before Joshua Brennan added another late on before Nolann Le Garrec and Antoine Hastoyboth added conversions to briefly reduce the deficit.

The All Blacks celebrated after securing a comprehensive 26-point win that saw them clinch the series with a game to spare which was their first victory at the Sky Stadium since 2018.
