Tranz Alpine Scooter Safari 2026 - 23/05/2026.

Photo highlights from the Tranz Alpine Scooter Safari 2026 event which is a grueling test of endurance travelling 250km through freezing temperatures... on a city scooter!

The event itself starts at the Vintage Car Club in Christchurch and finishes at the Boy’s Brigade clubhouse in Hokitika and incorporates some of the South Island’s most stunning landscapes during the events 250kms journey Coast-to-Coast over the Southern Alps from Christchurch to Hokitika.

It’s not a race or for the faint hearted – the event is designed to be the coldest, longest, hardest, most grueling and uncomfortable test of endurance on a city scooter to raise money and awareness for cancer sufferers. Participants at the 2026 Tranz Alpine Scooter Safari event raised a phenomenal $368,239.
